British Troops on the front line of the UK Government response to Covid-19 have been issued with an insect repellent containing Citrodiol as an ‘enhanced force health protection measure’. Citrodiol is produced from steam distilled Lemon Eucalyptus Oil, the main repellent used in 2B Insect Repellent. Troops have also been given vitamin D supplements to support their immune systems. The measures do not replace physical distancing and other government advice.
Citriodiol is known to have anti-viral properties and has already been used as a skin barrier against the SARS 1 virus.
